SLOUGH, UK--McAfee has handed its UK PR business to Hotwire, the Holmes Report understands.
The development follows a review that saw McAfee part ways with eight-year incumbent Red Consultancy, as revealed by the Holmes Report earlier this month.
Hotwire takes charge of all of McAfee’s PR activity, including channel, B2B, enterprise and consumer. It is understood that the firm prevailed following a final round of pitching against 3 Monkeys.
Earlier this year, McAfee was acquired by Intel in a deal that valued the security player at $7.68bn. Rival player Symantec recently hired Red Consultancy after the firm's split with McAfee.
McAfee UK PR manager Michelle Spencer declined to confirm the appointment.
