NEW YORK—The Mobile Marketing Association has named John Bianchi as communications director. Reporting directly to MMA CEO Greg Stuart, Bianchi is charged with creating and executing an overall global communications strategy for the organization, and leading public relations efforts for North America. He joins the MMA from Goodman Media in New York, where he worked with clients including Carat, The Weather Channel, , The Associated Press, the National Geographic Society, the Environmental Defense Fund and Sony. He began his career in television news.

NEW HAVEN, CT—Thomas Mattia is stepping down from his post as Yale University’s chief communications officer and director of the office of public affairs and communications at the end of the year. Mattia, a veteran of public affairs positions at Coca Cola, IBM and Ford, has served in his current role since 2009. Elizabeth Stauderman, his deputy, will take over Mattia’s role. She has worked in public relations at the university for several years, including in roles at the school of management, law school and divinity school.

BAYPORT, MN—Andersen Corporation, which manufactures Andersen brand windows and doors, Eagle Window and Door and Silver Line building products, has named Laurie Bauer as its vice president of corporate communications. In this newly created position, Bauer will oversee internal and external communications, community relations and government affairs. Bauer replaces former communications director Maureen McDonough, who has retired. Bauer spent the majority of her career in retail with Best Buy and The Musicland Group, and prior to joining Andersen, led teams at Carlson Hotels Worldwide and Allianz Life.

SALT LAKE CITY—MonaVie, a leader in nutrition products, has named Arthur Sando as vice president, corporate communications, responsible for formulating and implementing a cohesive messaging strategy, both internally and externally, in support of the company's mission to empower people to live “A More Meaningful Life.” For the past four years, Sando has been CEO of his Los Angeles–based communications consultancy. Previously, he was senior VP, communications, for CBS Enterprises.

MIAMI—Just Energy, a natural gas and electricity retailer, has appointed Irela Bague as regional director of public relations and corporate affairs. Based in Miami, Bague will be responsible for marketing Just Energy's green Just Clean program in Florida and throughout the United States. Prior to joining Just Energy, Bague served as president of Bague Group, a business development and public relations firm and before that served on the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush.
