Digital Specialist, Japan Expert Join Asia ThinkTank Live Speakers

SINGAPORE—Digital and social media maven Thomas Crampton, and Melanie Brock—regional manager, Japan, for Meat & Livestock Australia—have joined the lineup of speakers at The Holmes Report’s first ThinkTank Live event in the Asia-Pacific region.

Held in conjunction with the first Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards dinner on November 3, the conference will focus on the challenges facing Asia-Pacific brands as they go global and will feature a stellar lineup of speakers including global public relations agency leaders Tim Sutton of Weber Shandwick and Robert Pickard of Burson-Marsteller, along with in-house corporate communicators Simon Sproule of Nissan and Ross Gann of Huawei.

Crampton is Asia-Pacific director of 360 Digital Influence for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, heading a team that spans 23 cities in 15 Asian territories, with expertise in helping companies conceive, develop and execute strategies in social media.

Prior to joining Ogilvy, Crampton spent 18 years as a globetrotting newspaper correspondent, mainly for the International Herald Tribune and The New York Times, reporting from five continents and dozens of countries. Passionately involved in digital for the last six years, he writes a widely read blog, thomascrampton.com, and is a frequent keynote speaker and moderator at high profile conferences around the world.

Brock (pictured) was appointed regional manager, Japan, for MLA in 2010 and has been instrumental in launching MLA’s “Together with Japan” programme in, building links between farmers in Australia and farmers in Japan in need of support following the earthquake and tsunami.

Shee has been a resident of Japan for two decades, and has extensive experience in food marketing, consulting and project management. Prior to joining MLA, Brock headed up her own import company in Tokyo, focused on gourmet foods and beverages for the Japanese retail and wholesale market.
