CHICAGO—Interpublic Group has acquired Fuse, a one of the UK’s leading digital and interactive agencies. Fuse will become part of GolinHarris. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 2004 by three former architecture students—Doug Ayres, Simon Hobbs and Jon Meggitt—Fuse blends design expertise with technology to produce digital content and campaigns for clients including Unilever, Bissell, Tia Maria, Top Trumps and Dove among its clients.

Fuse will merge its employees and operations with GolinHarris’ office in London but will retain its name. The three founders will continue in their current roles and report to Jonathan Hughes, president, GH International.

According to GolinHarris chief executive Fred Cook, CEO of GolinHarris, “As the lines between PR, digital and advertising continue to blur, these added capabilities will allow us to deliver more fully integrated client campaigns that span earned, owned, shared and paid media.”
