BARCELONA—The International Communications Consultancy Organisation has named Jean-Leopold Schuybroek, founder of public relations and public affairs consultancy Interel, as president. He replaces Richard Houghton, partner and managing director of Aspect Consulting in London, who held the office for two years.
Schuybroek is vice-chairman of Interel Group, president of the Belgian PR consultancy association, BPRCA, and a past president of the independent consultancies network Public Relations Organisation International. This is his second term as ICCO president.
David Gallagher, senior partner and CEO of Ketchum Pleon has been named vice president. He will serve a one-year term before taking over the presidency from Jean-Leopold in 2013. He has 20 years of PR experience and in his current role, he oversees all of Ketchum’s European offices and forms part of the firm’s global executive committee.
