SANTO DOMINGO—Llorente & Cuenca, one of the leaders in the global Spanish and Portuguese-speaking public relations world, has opened operations in the Dominican Republic.
Under the leadership of Alexander Barrios, the Santo Domingo office is providing a range of services from the spokesperson training to more traditional public relations counsel, public affairs, crisis communication, and online communication. The firm will also offer expertise in the mining industry, destination branding, and support for family-owned businesses.
Barrios has more than 15 years of experience in corporate communication, crisis communication, public affairs and corporate social responsibility. In recent years, he has worked for major clients in the Dominican Republic, including Barrick Pueblo Viejo and the Cisneros Group. Earlier, he worked for multinational companies in Venezuela.
The Dominican office is the eighth operation for Llorente & Cuenca in Latin America, where it already has offices in Bogota, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Panama City, Quito and Rio de Janeiro.
