FRANKFURT—Thorsten Strauss, previously head of corporate communications at Bertelsmann, has been appointed Deutsche Bank’s new global head of communications and corporate social responsibility. He succeeds Stefan Baron, who is retiring. Michael Golden, currently deputy head of group press, has been named deputy global head of communications and CSR.
ZURICH—Burson-Marsteller has added Matthias Lüfkens as head of the digital practice, and Dev Rakshit as a senior consultant in healthcare and science communications in its Swiss operation. Lüfkens joins Burson-Marsteller from the World Economic Forum where he was most recently associate director and head of digital media. Dev Rakshit was previously global brand communications manager for the neuroscience franchise at Novartis and head of strategic marketing and branding at Swarovski.
BRUSSELS—FTI Consulting has appointed Simon Dibb as a managing director in the firm’s strategic communications practice in Brussels. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Dibb was a partner and director at Porter Novelli. LONDON—The Gerber Juice Company has appointed Twelve Thirty Eight to handle its corporate and consumer PR following a competitive pitch. The brief includes brands such as Fruit Passion and Sun Pride. Twelve Thirty Eight will be tasked with raising the profile of Gerber and its consumer brands in national and trade titles, across social media and in lifestyle press, and with managing partnership programs. The focus of the work will be on Gerber’s performance, its environmental credentials and its pipeline of innovation.
