Burson-Marsteller Opens Third Brazilian Office

BRASILIA—Burson-Marsteller has opened its third Brazilian office, located in the nation’s capital of Brasilia. Burson has had a presence in Brazil for 35 years and currently has offices in Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.

The Brasilia office will be focused on serving clients with public affairs and government relations needs across multiple sectors including healthcare, technology and telecommunications, transportation, public security policy, patent protection, intellectual property rights, education, energy and natural resources, environmental legislation, international commerce and investments.

Burson-Marsteller Brasilia will be led by André Miranda, who has more than 15 years of experience in public affairs and government relations in the Brazilian market. Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Miranda worked for Patri, a local firm, where he was associate director and was responsible for providing counseling to leading companies in various industries.

Prior to Patri, he began his career as a public affairs director for Abiove, the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries.

He will report to Francisco Carvalho (pictured), CEO and managing director of Burson-Marsteller Brazil.
