McGinnis To Lead Austin Office For Cohn & Wolfe

AUSTIN—Cohn & Wolfe has appointed Matt McGinnis as executive vice president and managing director of the company’s Austin office, where he will oversee the office’s day-to-day operations, client relations and business development activities. He will report directly to Jim Joseph, Cohn & Wolfe president, North America.

Over the past 21 years, McGinnis has held marketing and communications positions overseeing product management, demand generation and corporate reputation in North America and Europe. He joins Cohn & Wolfe from Dell, where he was marketing director for the Enterprise Solutions Group, he created campaigns that assisted customers in finding technology to help their businesses operate more efficiently.

Previously, he was senior vice president, global technology practice leader at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, where he oversaw large multinational corporate communications accounts for clients such as AMD, Austin City Limits, BMC Software, Capital Sports & Entertainment, Texas Instruments and Vignette.

His experience includes enterprise technology, consumer electronics, Internet commerce, non-profit advocacy, performance marketing, semiconductors, software, sports and entertainment.
