ATLANTA--Ogilvy PR has expanded its social media team with senior hires in Atlanta and London.

In Atlanta, former Coca-Cola strategist Peter Fasano arrives to head the firm's Social@Ogilvy practice.  Fasano joins from Dachis Group, where he served as client partner and senior social media strategist for Target, Fidelity Investments, Allstate Corp. and DeVry University.

In London, meanwhile, the agency has added two executives to its social media team. Jai Kotecha joins from The Red Brick Road where he was head of social media.

In his new role as associate director, Kotecha –a member of the IAB and DMA Social Media Council – will lead a growing portfolio of clients that hub their regional social media communications at Ogilvy PR London.

In addition, Jay Sorrels joins from Frank PR where he was head of digital. In his new role, as Senior Social Media Strategist, Sorrels will employ his considerable experience across ‘fast moving consumer goods’, fashion, tech, consumer finance and the public sector in leading a high profile, global Ogilvy client.

"Most PR agencies are either fast, small and creative but without C-level access; or else big and respected but lacking in innovation," said Sorrels. "Ogilvy PR is a dynamic and serious earned media agency with unmatched integration across marketing disciplines."
