WASHINGTON, DC—Ken Sain has joined the Washington, DC, office of Widmeyer Communications as a senior vice president in the firm’s pre-K-12 Education practice, working with the WK Kellogg Foundation and others. Sain comes to Widmeyer from Porter Novelli, where he served as senior vice president. leading many outreach initiatives targeted to minority and hard to reach audiences. Previously, he was vice president of program partnerships for PowerUP, a national non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the “digital divide” among young people in underserved communities.

NASHVILLE—ReviveHealth, a specialist in health services, health technology, and healthy living, has added Phil Stone (pictured) as the firm’s first chief operating officer. Prior to joining ReviveHealth, Stone served as the CFO at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, where he was responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for the non-profit clinic. He also spent five years at Davies Public Affairs, including three years as the executive vice president of operations, managing the firm’s back office functions.

BOSTON—Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications has hired Esmael Ansari as senior public affairs associate. Ansari will assist with recruiting, organizing and mobilizing diverse constituencies in support of the firm’s grassroots, digital advocacy, and ballot question campaigns. Earlier in his career, he managed the re-election campaign for Boston City Councilor Rob Consalvo.

SEATTLE—Christiaan Brown has joined the Seattle technology practice of Edelman as senior vice president. He will report to Troy McCombs, Seattle practice leader. Brown comes to Edelman from Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where he served as general manager of Hill+Knowlton Strategies Northwest and global client relationship manager of the Qualcomm account. Earlier, he worked at Porter Novelli.
