MIAMI—The Holmes Group will hold its second Global Public Relations Summit in Miami next November, bringing together leaders from the PR agency business, corporate communications, marketing, media and academia to discuss and debate some of the critical challenges and major opportunities facing the profession.

The 2013 Global Public Relations Summit will focus on “Global Reputations and Local Relationships” and the ways in which organizations balance the need to manage vision, purpose and corporate image on a global scale with the need to engage with stakeholders on an increasingly local, personal level.

The two-day Summit will take place on November 12 and 13, 2013 at the St Regis Bal Harbour hotel in Miami—site of this year’s inaugural Summit—and will be preceded once again by a half-day Independent Public Relations Firm Forum, focusing on issues faced by small and midsize agencies.

The Global SABRE Awards dinner, which honors the best campaigns from our Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA region SABRE competitions, will take place on the evening of November 13, and will be followed on the morning of November 14 by an optional half-day of case studies from the winning campaigns.

“The first Global Public Relations Summit was a great success,” says Holmes Report founder and editor Paul Holmes. “Despite the impact of Hurricane Sandy, we were able to attract more than 300 industry leaders and provide them with compelling content focused on the key issues shaping our profession. More than 80 percent of attendees indicated they were likely to attend again, so we are confident that the second Summit will engage an even more senior, even more international audience.”

Partners, speakers, panelists and content will be announced over the coming weeks and a dedicated website will be launched before the end of the year.
