LONDON—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has strengthened its change and internal communications team with the appointment of Shelley Joyce as its new head. She joins H+K Strategies from BNY Mellon, the global investments company, where she was the global head of marketing and communications for the corporate trust business, based in New York.

Reporting to group managing director, Ben Curson, Joyce will lead a team that advises clients including a range of multinational corporations and from the public sector.

During her time at BNY Mellon, Shelley was responsible for overseeing strategic communication programs for a number of significant organizational change initiatives. Previously, she was a manager at Accenture, where she developed communication strategies to support major IT outsourcing and transformation deals. She also designed and implemented the internal communication framework within Accenture’s financial services division to help drive brand alignment and employee engagement within the practice.

Her agency experience includes time at H+K Strategies and latterly at Lansons Communications. She has worked with clients including American Express, GE Capital, Scottish Widows, Astra Zeneca and Ernst & Young.
