LONDON--The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) is collaborating with the Holmes Report to produce a definitive global PR report.

The World PR Report will combine the Holmes Report's Global 250 Agency Ranking and a definitive survey of global PR industry trends, issues and challenges. By surveying PR firms and ICCO members, the new Report will provide critical insight into the size, growth and challenges that characterise the global PR market.

The Report, set to be released in spring 2013, effectively combines two previous offerings: the Holmes Report’s Global Rankings study, and ICCO’s annual World Report. Last year, the Global Rankings study found that the PR agency industry is worth around $10bn, after growth of eight percent in 2011. The ICCO 2012 World Report also found that the public relations industry growth in the surveyed countries outperformed overall economic growth in their markets.

Paul Holmes, editor of the Holmes Report, said: “Our Global Rankings report has become a respected benchmark of PR industry size and performance. ICCO has been publishing authoritative reports on sentiment within the agency business. Collaboration between our two organizations will only benefit the global PR industry’s efforts to benchmark its progress.”

Francis Ingham, Executive Director of ICCO, said: “With ICCO and The Holmes Report being the only two organisations conducting global PR surveys it made sense for us to get together to produce a unique, top-quality piece of research for the entire industry to use.”
