SEOUL—Ketchum has followed up its recent merger with Korea's InComm Brodeur by naming new management in the country.

Yonnie Woo joins the firm as GM, after serving in the same role at the Hoffman Agency in Korea. She will report to Jon Higgins, senior partner and international CEO at Ketchum.

At Ketchum, Woo will be responsible for agency operations and supporting both multinational and domestic clients with a particular focus on such specializations as brand marketing, technology, digital, and public and government affairs.

“[Woo] built a strong business at Hoffman and has recently worked with some of the world’s most well-known brands,” said Higgins. “This is just the latest in a series of significant, recent enhancements to our capabilities within the Asia-Pacific region, and it also will further strengthen our ability to represent our clients’ interests within Korea as we approach the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.”

Ketchum has steadily expanded its Asian presence in recent years.  In November, the firm announced the acquisition of Singapore firm Icon. In 2011, meanwhile, Ketchum acquired majority positions in Greater China and India.
