SAN FRANCISCO—Author and brand strategist Christine Arena was named executive vice president and Edelman veteran Henk Campher was named managing director, sustainability. Both will report to Ravi Moorthy, head of the Bay Area corporate practice. Arena’s books—The High-Purpose Company and Cause for Success—chronicle the rise of purpose and strategic corporate responsibility in companies. She is the former founder and chief strategy officer of Aiko Agency, a San-Francisco-based communications firm. Campher Joined Edelman in 2008 to lead the firm's sustainability efforts and has worked with clients including Starbucks, Levi's, Best Buy, Tiffany's, and eBay.

RIO DE JANEIRO—Sabrina Orlov has been named as general director to lead the JeffreyGroup office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She joins the Latin America agency from Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Rio where she had been for six years, most recently as account director. Orlov will report to JeffreyGroup Brazil managing director Cristina Iglecio. Before H+K, she worked for a number of Brazilian businesses and organizations, as well as a reporter and television producer.

LOS ANGELES—PMK•BNC has added Rebecca Fisher to its film marketing and distribution department as director of national publicity.  She comes to the PMK•BNC from an eight-year tenure at Block/Korenbrot, working on major theatrical and awards campaigns that include has for such films as "Before Midnight," "In a Better World," "A Separation" An Education, "Frozen River" and "Super Size Me." Prior to that, she held public relations posts at the Seattle, Sundance and AFI Film Festivals.

NEW YORK—Global Strategy Group has added three to its communications practice.  Andrew Kirtzman and Alex Flores join the firm as vice presidents and Emily Williams as director in GSG’s New York office. Most recently, Kirtzman—a former journalist—was senior advisor to NYC Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott, overseeing the Department of Education’s press, marketing, and government relations divisions. Flores was most recently the client services director at the global digital agency, SapientNitro.  Prior to joining GSG, Williams was vice president of Blueprint Interactive.

WASHINGTON, DC—Former Obama campaign staffer Grant Denton has joined CLS Strategies as managing associate of digital services. He joins former Obama Pennsylvania digital director and CLS Strategies managing associate Josh Cook on the firm’s digital team. Denton played a role in President Obama’s re-election as engagement program manager on the digital team. He was also a lead analyst at digital advertising firm Centro.

RICHMOND—Kevin Flores, founder and executive creative director of The Flores Shop, has joined PadillaCRT as vice president and group creative director. He will direct creative design and digital work in the agency’s Richmond office. Flores has led advertising and branding campaigns for clients including Allianz Global Assistance, American Cancer Society, Boston College, Dunkin Donuts, Rolls-Royce, and Walmart. Prior to forming his own business, Flores worked for agencies Elevation, PowerPact and RightMinds. He also served on the corporate side with Circuit City.

WASHINGTON, DC—Susan Davis International has appointed Michelle Reilly to the position of director of marketing and engagement, responsible for SDI’s marketing communications and growing the global SDI brand.  Most recently, Reilly served as the director of marketing at GTT, a publicly trading cloud networking company headquartered in Washington.
