LONDON—Neato Robotics, the Silicon Valley company that creates robots to perform household chores, has hired Honcho PR to lead European PR duties.

Honcho PR will coordinate a European PR team that comprises Gen-G in France, ZPR in Germany, and independent consultants in Sweden, Denmark and Italy. The brand-building assignment includes the launch of a new robot vacuum cleaner — the 'BotVac' — in the UK and Europe this Spring.

Honcho co-founders Charlotte Priest and Amanda Slayton-Joslin will report to Avril Murphy, Neato’s EMEA VP of sales and marketing. Campaign activity is to focus on consumer, technology and trade audiences.

Founded in 2009, Neato began selling products in 2010, focusing on vaccum cleaners. "We look forward to partnering with our European team to help build awareness of the Neato brand and communicate the strength and value of its technology to consumer, trade and tech audiences in each territory," said Priest.
