SINGAPORE—Jonathan Sanchez is departing Unilever after three years as VP of global communications and sustainability.

Sanchez, who confirmed the news on LinkedIn, has led communications for the FMCG giant across Russia, Africa, Middle East & Southeast Asia and Australasia. In addition, he was responsible for heading Unilever's 'Sustainable Living Plan' across South East Asia and Australasia.

"I have had an outstanding time at Unilever, a company I have been so proud to work with," said Sanchez. "It was a privilege to start the global communications function some three years ago and to go on and witness it become a vital and respected part of Unilever's business operations."

When contacted by the Holmes Report, Sanchez declined to comment on his next move. Prior to joining Unilever in 2011, Sanchez spent 18 months as a regional director at Edelman, where he led consumer marketing across Asia-Pacific.

Sanchez's career in marketing communications has spanned various roles in London and New York — including leadership positions at JWT, Euro RSCG, IAC and Freud Communications.
