SAN FRANCISCO — Hill + Knowlton’s San Francisco GM Paul Turner has left the firm and taken on the role of SVP of consumer lending in executive communications at Wells Fargo.

He spent more than a decade at Hill + Knowlton, most recently running its San Francisco operation. He took over the post in 2012 when former GM Jennifer Temple left to also join Wells Fargo where she leads the consumer lending communications division. In his new role, Turner reports directly to Temple, who created his new role to specifically oversee executive communications for the division, including managing thought leadership and speakers' bureau programs.

Temple also recently hired Catherine Pulley-Dennison from Citi as head of external communications and Kurt Schroeder from PG&E as head of internal communications.

At H+K, Turner was also the global account leader for longtime client Qualcomm that recently shifted hands to Weber Shandwick. The firm’s US tech practice — which is helmed in San Francisco by Hadley Wilkins — has faced some setbacks recently with Salesforce moving to Nectar and client CA Technologies putting its business for review.

H+K is currently searching for a new GM for its San Francisco office.
