SAN FRANCISCO — Access Communications veteran Michael Young has left the Omnicom firm after nearly 10 years to become EVP at the tech boutique Max Borges Agency.

Young, who reports into CEO Max Borges, will divide his time between the firm’s Miami hub and its new San Francisco office. He started in the role on June 9 that involves leading client engagements, evolving the firm’s communications services capabilities, as well as developing new business.

He will work with the agency’s Bay Area leadership team including the VP and GM of that office Mark Olson, as well as others. Max Borges is a 12-year-old tech and social agency whose clients have included Philips, Cambridge Audio, Voxx and Grace Digital.

Before making this move, Young was SVP at the Ketchum-owned Access Communications where he  led the firm’s enterprise technology and business-to-business practice and focused on business development. He also co-founded Agency Analytics and held senior posts in the technology practices at Porter Novelli and Ketchum.
