HONG KONG—FleishmanHillard has appointed advertising veteran Mickie French to the newly-created position of managing director of strategic integration and planning for Asia Pacific, responsible for expanding the firm’s regional integration of public relations, brand marketing, social, digital and other disciplines across paid, earned, shared and owned media platforms.

French is based in Singapore, where she also serves as general manager of the office, and reports to Lynne Anne Davis, FleishmanHillard president of Asia Pacific.

“Demand for truly integrated communications and clever, creative campaign development is at a fever pitch in Asia Pacific,” says Davis said. “We must accelerate innovation on a continuous basis.” Davis adds that French will focus on delivering greater analytics, planning and creative capabilities for all regional practices and sectors.

French has lived and worked in both developed and emerging markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Hungary, Mexico and Russia. During her 20 years outside of the US, first with D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and then TBWA, she has led campaigns for brands such as M&M/Mars, Procter & Gamble, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Philips, Nissan, Coca-Cola and Microsoft.
