LONDON—Telecoms player Openet has handed global PR duties to CCgroup, as it attempts to step up its thought leadership and content marketing activity.

The company, which delivers policy, control and charging technology to telecoms operators, currently works with more than 80 of the world’s largest telco operators across 32 countries.

Cgroup is charged with differentiating Openet's technology among large multinational telecoms vendors and prove the case for its approach to global operators. The agency secured the business following a competitive review.

The firm will manage Openet’s external communications with key influencers, including the creation of thought leadership content. It will also support the company at major international events and take responsibility for its social media channels as part of an integrated communications strategy.

“The mobile industry is going through a period of transition and Openet, with its innovative and disruptive approach, is perfectly placed to capitalise on a wealth of new opportunity," said CCgroup head of telecoms Paul Nolan.
