LONDON—Ketchum has been appointed by Nissan to work on the sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup. The win follows a three-way pitch, after which the Ketchum London team was selected for its football credentials and its ability to bring the sponsorship deal to life for Nissan consumers.

Clare Pring, partner and MD of Ketchum's UK Brand Practice, said: “We’re very pleased to be working with such an ambitious client on one of the most exciting competitions in football. I’m really proud that we’ve been chosen to provide this support.”

Nissan’s four-year agreement with UEFA, starting next season, is its largest-ever sponsorship deal and sees Nissan displacing Ford as UEFA Champions League sponsor after 22 years.

Pring will lead the firm’s efforts on a multi-channel campaign that focuses on enhancing the football fan experience.
