NEW YORK—Jeffrey Sturchio has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Rabin Martin, the healthcare consulting firm that works with clients at the intersection of business, philanthropy, policy and public health. 

Sturchio joined the firm three years ago as senior partner and working alongside chairman Steve Rabin has led efforts for the United Nations, Merck KGaA, Novo Nordisk, BD and others. He is also chairman of the BroadReach Institute of Training and Education and served previously as vice president for corporate responsibility at Merck & Co., and as president of The Merck Company Foundation.

Rabin Martin works with clients including Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., AstraZeneca, UNICEF and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, providing creative strategies, program design and implementation, reaching underserved populations in the US, Europe, emerging markets and least developed countries.

In addition, Rebecca Hoppy, a nine-year veteran of the firm, was named Rabin Martin's managing director, coordinating client service efforts of the 47-person staff in five cities and three countries. Prior to joining the firm, Hoppy served as associate director of communications for the Center for Mental Health Check Ups at Columbia University.
