CHICAGO – Burson-Marsteller has brought on Edelman’s Chicago digital GM Brad Mays as managing director of its US digital integration.

Based in Chicago, Mays will be responsible for overseeing the integration of digital and analytics services into all aspects of the firm’s business. He’s been with Edelman digital since 2012 and since November 2013 has led digital in the firm’s Chicago office.  

In that role, he managed a team of 75 digital professionals – spanning creative, planning, production, paid, search, analytics and account service disciplines – and provided strategic counsel for clients including ConAgra, Darden and Humana, among others.

Before that, he was EVP and managing director with Edelman Digital in Austin, Texas. There he was responsible for launching Edelman Digital in the Southwest region and growing teams, capabilities and revenue to triple-digit growth. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in the digital space with WCG and FleishmanHillard, working on clients including Hershey’s, Intel, Pfizer, AT&T and Chevrolet.

He joined Burson on October 1. He reports to US chief strategy officer Thomas Gensemer.
