NEW DELHI: Bite Communications has lured Gutenberg Communications VP and country

Kumar departs Gutenberg after almost five years. As MD of Bite India,

Gutenberg has responded to Kumar’s departure by promoting Sonali
Madbhavi to VP and country manager. She will report to Gutenberg PR
co-founder and co-CEO Harjiv Singh.
During Kumar’s time at Gutenberg India, the agency grew from four
staffers to more than 30 today. Prior to joining Gutenberg, Kumar held
roles at several top-tier Indian PR firms, including Weber Shandwick and
Genesis Burson-Marsteller. He has also worked in corporate marketing,
for Sapient Corporate and the International Management Group (IMG).
Bite’s Indian entry comes after Waggener Edstrom’s market launch
last year. Both tech agencies have opted to start wholly-owned agencies
rather than acquire, following in the footsteps of Fleishman-Hillard’s
India launch in 2007.
