ESI Design, a leading experiential design firm, has selected Peppercom as its agency of record, plus new business successes for KCSA, j. simms agency, Zapwater Communications and Thomas Public Relations.

NEW YORK—ESI Design, a leading experiential design firm, has selected Peppercom as its agency of record. Peppercom will work closely with ESI Design to provide ongoing media relations (including both traditional and social media) and event support surrounding the firm’s design of the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion, also known as the “Dream Cube,” at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Peppercom will also provide public relations support to ESI Design’s work for corporations (Best Buy, GE, Pfizer), cultural clients (Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation, Tryon Palace Historic Sites and Gardens), and social impact organizations.


IRVINE, CA—ChinaTel Group, a leader in high speed wireless broadband, telecommunications infrastructure, engineering and construction services, has retained KCSA Strategic Communications to head the company's new investor relations and financial communications program. KCSA will implement a comprehensive investor relations campaign designed to build greater awareness of ChinaTel following its recently completed $640 million equity financing. 


SAN DIEGO—Liquid Living Magazine, a bi-monthly lifestyle publication focused on home entertaining, food, and drink, has retained j. simms agency, a full-service public relations and marketing firm with offices in San Diego, Cleveland, and Raleigh, N.C. j. simms agency will implement all of the branding, marketing and sales for the magazine that launches at the 2010 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas next month.


CHICAGO—Zapwater Communications has been selected to represent A Blending of Bittersweet Memories, a soon-to-be published cookbook featuring recipes and stories of lost loved ones. A portion of the proceeds from the cookbooks will be donated to a breast cancer charity. The book will be authored by Chicago native Emily Hoffman. Zapwater Communications will assist Bittersweet Memories with all cause-related marketing initiatives. Zapwater will help Hoffman increase visibility of the cookbook, Bittersweet brand, and recipe submission process.


MELVILLE, NY—Thomas Public Relations has been chosen as agency of record by PeeWee PC, a leading producer of computer products for children, from laptops and desktop PCs to software and accessories. Thomas PR was chosen by PeeWee PC because of its leadership position in public relations for international consumer electronics, toy, and computer companies.
