Adam Friedman Associates works primarily with small and micro-cap companies that have few internal communications resources and need full service support: investor relations, corporate public relations, and in some cases marketing communications and employee communications as well. Such companies can really benefit from the firm’s approach: founder Adam Friedman is involved in every account, and the firm’s other professionals—at least 10 years experience each—provide input on strategy. And since the firm is both flat and top heavy, clients can be assured that media outreach and other execution won’t be delegated to someone too young and inexperienced to do the job.

The firm saw an increase in revenues of about 18 percent in 2003, with the investor relations part of the business bouncing back after a sluggish year in 2003. New clients included Federal Realty Investment Trust, Cabot Corporation and Waste Industries to its US roster. The firm also continued to develop its expertise working with Chinese companies, with represent about 20 percent of Friedman’s revenue stream.

On the personnel front, the firm added two senior executives: Leslie Wolf-Creutzfeldt, an alumna of Thomson Financial, and Richard Hilton, recently of Cohn & Wolfe and a former engineer on a nuclear submarine.
