KANSAS CITY—Barkley has been awarded a cause branding assignment by the March of Dimes following a multi-agency pitch. The agency will guide activities that support the March of Dimes’ mission to improve the health and wellbeing of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Services will include brand research and analysis and the development of an integrated communications plan.

“The March of Dimes continues to save babies through research, community service, education and advocacy,” said Doug Staples, senior vice president for strategic marketing and communications at March of Dimes. “In Barkley, we found a compassionate company that brings a wealth of expertise encompassing communications, marketing and cause branding platforms.”

The March of Dimes’ most recent campaign focuses on prevention of premature births, a problem that has escalated significantly in the past 20 years.
