HONG KONG—Corporate, financial, and crisis public relations specialist Brunswick Group has expanded its operations into Asia with the opening of an office in Hong Kong.
Ray Bashford, formerly executive editor of the South China Morning Post, has joined Brunswick as a partner to open the office. Immediately prior to joining Brunswick, Bashford was communications director of Hutchison’s 3.
In addition, Brunswick has been appointed by PCCW, Hong Kong’s international telecoms company, to advise on discussions with China Netcom and is supporting other Brunswick clients in the US and Europe.
Brunswick has operated in Asia over the past decade advising clients such as Hutchison, KCRC, C&W and Malaysia Telecom. With its headquarters in London, the firm has offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and Johannesburg.
