Corporate communications firm Spain

Holmes Report

As part of marketing services company Grupo BPMO, Spanish communications consultancy DcorporateCom can draw on the expertise of more than 60 professional communications in Madrid and Barcelona, spread across six companies, including BPMO Edigrup (corporate publications); BPMO photo (photography and video); concept advertising soul (advertising); citricus.com (digital communications); and Glob (experiential and events). That means it maintains its own specialized approach but when necessary can provide clients with integrated solutions and leverage broad-based campaigns into editorial coverage.

Media relations—both traditional, and more recently in the digital and social space—are at the heart of the Dcorporate offering. The firm is led by a team of former journalists who understand how to communicate corporate initiatives, values and strategies in a newsworthy fashion. Director Josep Salvat has experience in journalism and on the agency and corporate sides of the public relations business, having worked with clients including Affinity Petcare, Henkel, MaxMara, GOA France Telecom, iRobot, and Verbatim. Grupo BPMO director of international projects Jenny Hoefliger, meanwhile, has worked in the agency business in Swizterland, New York and Paris, managing accounts including Air France, Lonely Planet and the island of Jamaica.

While the past 12 months have been challenging, the firm has seen revenues increase, with new clients including Aena (a network of five airports in the Catalonia region), Bankpime and Aliança, while the firm continues to work with Asociación Española de Escuelas de Negocios (AEEN), Breitling, Danone, Educación sin fronteras, Enlaze3, Fundación Ayuda contra la Drogadicción (FAD), Femtalent, Fernando Sinesio, Fundació UPC, Fundació Cuina Justa, Fundación Bartolozzi, Gran Hotel Havana, Grupo Galgano, Mitsubishi Electric, Narcóticos Anónimos, Nationale Suisse, Roca, Scania, Staedtler, Step2U, UGT, and Vida Caixa among others.

According to Mari Pau Garreta, marketing director for Staedtler: “We have been working with Dcorporatecom for three years now. I would always recommend them since they are an enthusiastic team, full of commitment and great ideas. They have really understood how to communicate the values of the Staedtler brand among the target groups.” The firm earned SABRE Awards nominations for its Love Without Borders campaign for Narcotics Anonymous and Femtalent, a campaign promoting equality of opportunity for the Technology Parks Network of Catalonia. It also received a Gold Quill Award for Best Publication for its magazine Comunicas?, a publication about trends in communication, marketing and HR in the Spanish market.
