Full-service PR Romania

Holmes Report

Founded in 1995, just six years after the fall of the Ceausescu government and the end of communist rule, Image PR was one of the first public relations firms in Romania. Two years later, the firm was retained by its first international client, The Coca-Cola Company, and it’s fair to say it hasn’t looked back since. In 2003, it was one of a trio of agencies that joined forces to create the Romanian Public Relations Council. Today, it continues to work with Coca-Cola on both corporate and brand communications, and continues to rank among the leading public relations firms in the competitive and highly-creative Romanian market, distinguished by its broad capabilities (marketing communications, event management, corporate reputation work, crisis management and internal communications) and its longstanding relationships with key clients.
In addition to Coke, those clients include Philip Morris Romania (a 10-year relationship), leading Romanian home appliances producer Arctic (six years); and industrial real estate giant ProLogis (four years), while newer additions include L`Oréal Romania, which retained Image PR to communicate the L`Oréal centenary in the Romanian market—a campaign that has earned awards recognition.
“We have accomplished 100 years of successes, innovation and excellence; therefore, it is easy for us to recognize these qualities in others,” says Dana Dobrescu, corporate communication manager for L’Oréal Romania. “That is precisely why we chose Image to celebrate with us.” Adds Alina Constantinescu, marketing counselor for Casino Palace: “Image impressed us by the broad and complex research in which each proposal and action is rooted. We are delighted to partner with a great team of people who can understand our communication needs and bring creativity and professionalism to the table.”
Image is led by senior partner Alexandru Paius, former editor in chief of the economic department of Mediafax (the largest news agency in Romania) and PR chief for Orange, who founded the firm; managing partner Iulia Tanase, who oversees client relations; and account directors Liliana Stanculescu and newcomer Claudia Szanto, who joined this year after working at Ogilvy PR and Young & Rubicam in Croatia.
