Jackson Spalding’s business is Image Creation, Cultivation and Communication (IC3), an approach that looks at public relations as a component of the overall branding process. The firm has built an in-house design team to support that philosophy, and integrates design and corporate identity services with strategic communication—including crisis communication, litigation support, community relations, media training and media relations—to provide comprehensive brand stewardship for clients in a wide range of industry sectors: consumer products and services; real estate and engineering companies; professional services firms; healthcare institutions; associations and alliances; and not-for-profit organizations.
Led by principals Glen Jackson and Bo Spalding, the firm has continued to grow at a steady pace, with fees up about 10 percent last year to $4.2 million, establishing the firm as one of the leading independents in the south, although the majority of its work—including programs for Publix, Delta, Coke, Orkin and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl—is no longer regional but national or even international in scope. There was considerable growth in the real estate sector, which now accounts for about a third of revenues and includes some serious community relations assignments, and in the firm’s creative department, which offers expertise in research, design, corporate identity, and—a new addition in 05—multimedia production services.
