NEW YORK—Hill & Knowlton has named Kathleen Larey Lewton as senior vice president in the firm’s New York health and pharma practice. She will report to John Quick, director of the practice.

The New York health and pharma practice also recently added Ann Chesbrough as senior vice president to its team of senior healthcare experts. Chesbrough joined from Saatchi & Saatchi Rowland where she was director of the consumer and professional healthcare practices.
Lewton’s career has included senior management positions in both the agency and provider sectors of healthcare, with experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, hospital systems, managed care and associations. Her areas of expertise include pharma and biotech communications, healthcare financing and reimbursement issues, managed care, physician relations, health system integration, public affairs and grassroots advocacy campaigns, strategic and marketing positioning for health care organizations, as well as stakeholder relations, and issues management and crisis communications.
Lewton joins H&K from Fleishman-Hillard, where she had been senior vice president in the New York healthcare practice since 1999. Prior to Fleishman, she served as director of the U.S/ healthcare practice for Porter Novelli.
