Full-service public relations and marketing firm
Point Passat is a relatively new marketing consultancy but it can trace its roots back to the early days of the Russian public relations industry, when PR Passat was founded by Sergei Trofimenko. The Point came into existence six years later, founded by ex-pats whose expertise was in providing advice to western companies targeting the Russian market. The two firms merged in 2002, and today, Trofimenko (who serves on the Council of the International Public Relations Association and is active in both ICCO and IABC) serves as chairman of the board of Point Passat, while Point co-founder Tess Stobie (formerly marketing manager for telephone services company MTT) serves as managing partner. They were joined this year by Russian public relations veteran Julia Stonogina, a former journalist and veteran of independent Russian PR firm Insiders, who was named general director of the firm.
Point Passat is a results-oriented marketing and public relations communications group, offering a range of services including strategic communications consulting, brand development, public relations strategy and execution, and below-the-line marketing including sales promotions, event management and sponsorship, as well as recently developed capabilities in digital communications and corporate identity. It is distinguished from other firms in the Russian market by a network of representatives in multiple cities across
