PR Consulting Group founder James Haggerty literally wrote the book on litigation public relations. In 2003, he published In the Court of Public Opinion: Winning Your Case with Public Relations, the first book to focus on the importance of media relations during a legal crisis. The book proved to be a smart public relations move. PRCG’s revenues were up by 30 percent in 2005, after a 50 percent increase in 2004, and the firm is now firmly established as a leader in its niche, providing senior-level strategic counsel in to companies that are subject to legal, investigative and regulatory scrutiny.
The firm is staffed by senior-level professionals who are hands-on when it comes to both strategic counsel and execution. In addition to Haggerty, the leadership team includes co-founder Alan Metrick, who returned to PRCG after several years as director of communications for the Natural Resources Defense Counsel and has counseled clients on environmentally sensitive issues in North Carolina and Los Angeles.
