Holmes Report

Trimedia is one of a handful of firms with rich, deep experience in the financial industry, representing both international financial markets and exchanges (the International Securities Exchange, the Deutsche Boerse, Eurex) and financial services companies (Charles Schwab, CyberTrader, Keefe Bruyette & Woods). The firm has a thorough understanding of the marketing environment for these institutions, allowing Trimedia to deliver strategic consulting—led by principals Martin Mosbacher and Matt Zachowski—as well as traditional PR services.

The firm enjoyed healthy growth in 2001, up about 22 percent and benefiting from the continued strength in the institutional component of the financial markets, ending the year with fees of around $3.2 million. New business came from new client Sungard Data Systems, which provides IT solutions to financial services clients, while Charles Schwab expanded its relationship with the firm. High-profile assignments included work for Keefe Bruyette and Woods, a victim of the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center, and the International Exchange, which became the world’s single most important venue for energy trading in light of the bankruptcy of Enron Corporation.

Trimedia continues to serve a particularly wide range of international clients, and to offer U.S. clients access to international markets through alliances with leading firms such as Fishburn Hedges in the U.K., Information et Enterprise in France, Kohtes & Klewes in Germany, and Farner PR in Switzerland.
