For more than 30 years, William Mills Agency has focused its energies on the financial services sector in general and the banking, credit union, mortgage, auto finance and insurance sectors in particular, developing a deep domain expertise, strong relationships with key vertical media, and a proprietary, systematic process called Intelligent Information Integration that focuses the firm’s efforts on developing content and activities that will best support its clients’ strategic initiatives, while simultaneously providing the media with content of value to their readership. Measurement is handled via proprietary, in-house, Web-based software called PR-AIMS that enables ROI tracking and reporting for all clients in real-time.
Chief executive William Mills, a 25-year veteran of the firm, continues to serve as lead consultant for the agency's clients and has advised more than 300 chief executives on marketing strategy, business development, mergers and acquisitions, company branding and public relations. He is joined at the helm of the agency by president Scott Mills, who joined the firm in 1989 and has worked in both creative services and client relations, and new addition Jerry Goldstein, a strategic marketing veteran, who was brought on board in 2007 to launch and head a new marketing services division, having previously served as senior vice president of marketing at Prosero, a procurement business process outsourcing provider.
Revenues were up slightly in 2007, thanks in large part to the addition of 22 new clients including American Banker magazine; consumer scoring company L2C; Xinnix, a leading provider of mortgage sales and leadership development training programs; The Appraisal Foundation; and Customer Effective, a value-added reseller of Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management. The firm’s largest long-term clients, meanwhile, include ChoicePoint Precision Marketing, Equifax, Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Bayview Financial, First Houston Mortgage, Open Solutions and Zoot Enterprises. Interesting work included partnering with leading financial services analyst firm, Financial Insights, and SourceMedias flagship publication, American Banker, to promote the FinTech 100 Awards in conjunction with the Bank Administration Institute Retail Delivery Conference & Expo.
In addition to its own in-house resources William Mills Agency maintains international capabilities through a partner firm, U.K.-based technology public relations specialist Hotwire.
