One of the major reasons that Australia remains such a highly fragmented public relations market—lots of strong independent firms with 20 or 30 people—is that budgets tend to be relatively small and conflicts can be a problem even for modestly sized agencies. Wrights, which was founded in 1988 and has growing steadily over the past 20 years, has addressed that problem by expanding into a network of communications companies offering a range of services that now extends well beyond traditional public relations.
