WE Communications, one of the world’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for an experienced Account Director with technology B2B and B2C experience to join its London team.  With an office in the heart of Covent Garden, we are keen to bolster our ranks with a senior hire to help expand our technology offering and support existing key technology integrated client(s) including Capgemini, HPE Aruba and RSA Security.

Our London office is one of 20 across the globe, and it’s expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. We are currently looking for a first-class PR/Comms operator to become an integral part of our award-winning team, working on a number of our largest and most established brands; providing insightful client counsel, a deep understanding of the technology sector and passion for business writing. 

You are required to have a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn, contribute, educate and have a senior voice in our super-collaborative and integrated team.  We also require you to have a solid agency experience track record to date, whilst mastering the ability to manage both up and down – ensuring you develop, as well as your direct reports and the wider team.

This a great opportunity for an experienced and ambitious AD to help us drive full integration across our client portfolio, allowing you to become a key lead on a number of core UK clients.  You will also have a solid understanding of how best to optimise both traditional and digital communication in order to deliver excellent integrated strategies.

Key strengths within this role should include new business generation/management and organic growth, outstanding crisis management skills, content creation, event planning and organization, UK media relations black book, the ability to think multi-channel/multi-platform at all times and take a key role in wider team staff management and resource planning and organisation.  You will join a very talented and committed team, working on a great mix of instantly recognisable technology brand(s), and significant attention will be given to your career growth and development.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Core focus on new business development and management of RFI’S, RFP’S and pitches

  • Integrated communications strategy and campaign development experience for Global, EMEA and UK brands

  • Experience in running six figure multi-market and UK accounts, and a proven track record in organic growth

  • Ability to develop media narratives for brands via an understanding and proven experience of working with tier-one media, whilst already having strong and established relationships with local UK and EMEA wide media

  • Expert project leader, with the ability to navigate campaigns that have many moving parts while maintaining team and client health

  • Overall team management and planning, client day-to-day management and a solid understanding of the financial management of your client accounts

  • Ability to lead and work in an integrated team – providing well thought out briefs for paid, earned and owned elements of a campaign

Previous proven experience:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in Integrated communications – in an agency &/or within applicable industry

  • Minimum of 4 years individual & team management experience, including experience developing a team

  • Minimum of 4 years PR management, crisis management & execution experience

  • Experience of working across very technical clients, with the ability to seamlessly transition to more consumer-orientated clients

  • Experience of both B2B and B2C, across multiple sectors

  • New business development experience

  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile campaigns, both in the UK and across EMEA/globally
