The ideal candidate:

  • Has a deep understanding of social media and how brands and organizations leverage social channels in their communications strategies; 
  • Has experience working with established, as well as up and coming, digital and social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Pinterest and Medium;
  • Has basic online analysis and community management skills;
  • Is comfortable working with a variety of social media dashboards and monitoring tools;
  • Is a poised, intellectually curious overachiever who is discreet and demonstrates superior writing, editing and research skills, with strong analytical and organizational abilities; 
  • Is a self-starter who is enthusiastic about digital communications;
  • Is a dedicated, collegial team player with excellent people skills;
  • Thrives under pressure, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment – all while maintaining meticulous attention to detail; and
  • Is ready, willing and able to work 24/7 to support client teams when called upon.  


  • Support client teams with social and digital media research and analysis;
  • Conduct social media, website and digital monitoring and analytics reports;
  • Proofread and package client materials;
  • Social media influencer identification and mapping;
  • Help draft social media content including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn posts;
  • Aid with developing digital campaigns and social media strategies;
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as answering phones, making copies, etc.; and
  • Undertake various digital assignments as client demands require.


  • Bachelor's degree at a minimum (a plus if it is in a related field such as communications, English, journalism, political science, or business);
  • Internships or previous experience in digital communications, public relations, corporate communications, journalism, or online marketing are an advantage; and
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and social media listening and analytics tools preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and Boolean code
