Purpose of the Position:

WE Communications, one of the world’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for driven professionals to join our highly successful office in London. With an office in Covent Garden, we are keen to bolster our ranks with an Account Executive to join our rapidly expanding Healthcare Practice.  This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate with 12 months experience to take the next step in their career.

Our UK office is one of 18 across the globe, and it’s expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. Our clients are innovative and so is our work – and importantly, our employees come first. We are currently looking for a first-class PR/Comms operator to become an integral part of our award-winning team.  Led by a new Head of Health, the healthcare practice is currently undergoing a revamp and the successful individual will be part of a team of 4 tasked with creating a market-defining offering which uses a progressive approach to healthcare communications to deliver impressive results for clients.  In the first three months of the 2018, the team has one two pieces of new business – one being a substantial global client in the medical device space.  You are required to have a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn, contribute and have a voice in our super-collaborative team.  We also require you to have some agency experience to date, with an inquisitive mind and willingness to come out of your comfort zone to help build a business that is renowned for customer service and progressive healthcare communications

This a great opportunity for an ambitious AE to have access to senior team members on a day to day basis, ensuring you learn, grow and fulfil your potential. 

Key strengths within this role should include content creation, event planning and organization, media relations, a passion for healthcare, international coordination and the ability to think multi-channel/multi-platform at all times. 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Project management – working with Account Managers to ensure work is delivered on time
  • New business research
  • Solid media and influencer relations skills – via traditional, social and digital channels
  • Story generation – helping to brainstorm ideas to generate coverage for clients
  • Ability to work with the digital and content teams – adding value wherever possible

Key Attributes of the Candidate:

Previous proven experience:

  • Typically 1-2 years’ experience in communications, preferably in an agency setting or in an in-house role in a healthcare company
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Strong content creation skills – scientific background is helpful, but not essential

Agency Business

  • Meet WE guidelines on best business practices including utilization, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports, etc.
  • Manage and understand how to utilize internal client service teams (editing, production, library, etc.) to ensure quality, comprehensive service to clients
