Account Supervisor / Director
As a key day-to day contact and strategic lead for a portfolio of consumer clients, the Account Supervisor / Director role is fundamental to the successful delivery of client counsel, account and campaign management, KPIs and portfolio growth (business development). You are the eyes and ears for our clients and often have the greatest insight into their challenges and opportunities. This role requires you to command a room, be a strategic trusted advisor and an ability to ensure tactical delivery. This isn’t purely a strategic role - no matter thel evel, at SourceCode we all get involved in the tactical work of delivering results for clients.
As an Account Supervisor / Director you will be measured in the following fourareas:
Client relationships and management
Account Supervisor / Directors are required to build real, personal relationships quickly with client contacts and to position oneself as a partner to them and their businesses
We believe client tenure is a direct correlation to doing great work, providing great counsel and having a true relationship. You need to understand the person, not just their role and make the client your friend
In order to develop strategic insights and skills, Account Supervisors / Directors should showcase the interest and curiosity to ask the right questions of senior executives to inform counsel and recommendations
Account Supervisors / Directors are expected to be the day-to-day strategic leads for a portfolio of accounts, but in many cases are may become the day-to-day go-to for clients, responding to tactical queries and providing timely updates
You will be expected to demonstrate strong project management skills. We will need you to be able to handle multiple priorities without sacrificing timeliness or quality, delegating and managing up and down where needed to ensure programs are moving forward
Community engagement and business development
Demonstrating an appreciation that relationships extend beyond our client contacts, you will be expected build productive and mutually rewarding relationships with media, influencers and analysts for the benefit of your clients
We are committed networkers and expect our team to invest time in building industry relationships that might be useful for the business from a commercial or credibility perspective
Account Supervisors / Directors are expected to help bring business to the agency. You will have a network that you can leverage for referrals and will participate heavily in new business deck development and presentations
Contribute to a win rate of >65%; work with senior team to lead proposals and build creative and winning campaigns
Work with teams to deliver against an organic growth target of >5% across client portfolio
We will expect you to demonstrate creativity of thought and a passion to try new things. SourceCode is passionate about the value of bespoke, data-informed strategies and solutions for its clients. We don’t believe there is a ‘one-size’ solution for client challenges, and want everyone on our team to want to push themselves beyond the tried and tested solution
As account leaders, Account Supervisors / Directors are expected to demonstrate the ability to get under the skin of a business and learn about the ecosystem, challenges and opportunities facing clients
We want to empower you to identify and make recommendations to resolve challenges or potential problems for the benefit of clients. Your ability to foresee and avoid performance or delivery issues will be key to success
Content development and delivery
We expect our AS/Directors to be proficient content creators. From press releases to opinion articles, social content and blogs, you will need to demonstrate consistently strong and engaging materials
We expect a strong grasp of subject matter, the media landscape and grammatical proficiency with limited corrections
Assume line management duties for a select number of junior team members; develop personal development plans to grow their careers and set testing, realistic and measurable KPIs
Identify problem areas and make recommendations to address and remedy
