Account Supervisors & Senior Account Executives - Singer Associates, Inc.

Account Supervisors and Senior Account Executives are experienced public affairs, communications and public relations professionals who work across multiple client accounts. In this role, the AS/SAE will lead work on issue campaigns, crisis communications, corporate communications, reputation management, digital marketing, media relations and more for a diverse client list.

Senior Account Executives have 4 – 6 years’ experience and a proven track record of delivering successful results as part of a collaborative team, can work independently and drive projects forward, serve as a mentor and partner to junior staff, and support and augment the work of senior staff to provide day-to-day account management. SAE’s should have hands-on experience and impeccable foundational skills as they seek to take their career to a new level – adding account management, team leadership, and business development to the day-to-day role of the agency professional.

Account Supervisors have 6 – 10 years’ experience and are responsible for developing and leading client narratives and strategies, communicating clear recommendations that fuel progress and results, managing account teams, and securing new business opportunities. They are the day-to-day client, junior staff, and account managers responsible for producing results-driven work, managing client expectations and growing individual and team capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide end-to-end management of accounts large and small, across sectors
  • Understand clients’ businesses and issues, including context and industry/sector landscape
  • Develop, manage, and execute client strategies on a day-to-day basis
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and think critically to develop overall client plans
  • Create and monitor budgets for accounts or projects; review and approve junior staff time on accounts
  • Establish reliable communication with client as point person on account; keep them up to date on project status and next steps
  • Develop messaging/positioning for clients and relevant communication collateral including press releases, pitches, bios, fact sheets, etc.
  • Manage press outreach and media relations programs
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with top-tier reporters, bloggers, and influencers
  • Facilitate, staff, and prepare clients for press conferences media interviews, events, and public appearances
  • Drive client calls, team planning sessions, and regular outcome reporting
  • Train/mentor junior staff; participate in professional development of junior staff
  • Provide regular and direct feedback to staff regarding their performance
  • Assign and supervise quality of work and monitor performance of account team
  • Draft abstracts, bylines, proposals, and submissions as necessary
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for developing new business and demonstrate the ability to market and sell agency services


  • 4-10 years relevant communications, public affairs, public relations, or transferable work experience, agency experience preferable
  • Ability to work concurrently across multiple, diverse clients; skilled at prioritizing and delegating workload and deliverables to meet client and team deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, consistent follow-through, and an eye for details
  • A sense of humor, desire to learn, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to manage a team with proven results
  • Collaborative spirit, thrives in close team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create, build and maintain strong client and media relationships
  • Anticipates problems and effectively resolves issues in a proactive manner
  • Possesses accountability and ownership over actions and work
  • BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, or related course of study
