As Head of Health, you’ll manage and grow our portfolio of clients across pharmaceuticals, consumer health & wellness and medical technology. Enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate about all things health, you’ll also have proven experience in managing a team, leading clients and driving new business. And, of course, it goes without saying that you’ll also be adept at developing creative and integrated communication strategies to deliver strong results.

Reporting to the CEO, and with responsibilities across Sydney and Melbourne, the role sits on our executive management team and is a key role in driving cross agency collaboration and integration. In addition, as we’re the Australian arm of WE Communications so you’ll also get the chance to work and collaborate with top health communicators around our network from New York, to London, to Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading communication programs on some of Australia’s most reputable and iconic pharmaceutical/health brands  
  • Develop strategic and creative new business proposals addressing the needs and communication challenges of our potential/existing clients
  • Partner with account and creative teams on the implementation of integrated communications campaigns.
  • Mentoring and develop your team ensuring career progression.

  Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10+ years’ experience in health/pharmaceuticals communication
  • Ideally, have been operating at Senior / Group Account Director level for a minimum of 2 years
  • Understands the role and value of digital and social media in earned, owned and paid.
  • Understands the healthcare environment and relevant regulatory environment / Codes of Conduct
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships and client service management.
  • Strong new business and pitch experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in scoping out programs and budgeting
