Our team is seeking an individual with a voracious curiosity to learn. The person we hire is someone who has a desire to solve problems and find answers to questions that can’t be addressed by a simple formula. Candidates we consider must have a proven track-record of rolling up their sleeves and gathering available information to formulate persuasive recommendations and action plans. Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills are required.

Candidates offered a position will complement our group of senior communications consultants who hail from backgrounds in health policy, Congress, the legal profession, crisis communications and consulting. It is an optimal role for someone who cares about counseling clients in the midst of dynamic changes occurring in national health policy and pharmaceutical industry practices. As a member of the practice, this position will interact with Fortune 500 company executives to help them protect and enhance their reputations in the face of business and environmental challenges.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review news and activity across stakeholders in in the healthcare industry; synthesize relevance, monitor trends, and provide implications and recommendations for clients
  • Develop communications materials and messages to address some of the most sensitive and complex matters impacting healthcare brands
  • Conduct ad hoc research and provide insights to inform client strategies
  • Coordinate a weekly newsletter that is distributed to executives at the nation’s top lifesciences companies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience (preferably past agency, consulting or policy employment)
  • Proven experience developing a range of written materials, including statements, messages, Q&A materials for a wide range of audiences
  • Capacity to process new information rapidly and work quickly under tight deadlines
  • Confidence communicating with clients in the midst of a breaking issue
  • Comfort working in teams large and small with ability to drive components of projects independently
  • Ability to function within ambiguous and/or unprecedented situations
