Issues Management Senior Counselor - inVentiv Health Communications

Our team is seeking an experienced counselor who is adept at finding answers to questions that can’t be addressed by a simple formula. Candidates we consider must have a proven track-record of rolling up their sleeves and gathering available information to formulate persuasive strategies and programs for clients.

Candidates offered a position will complement our group of senior communications consultants who hail from backgrounds in health policy, Congress, the legal profession, crisis communications and consulting. It is an optimal role for someone who cares about counseling clients in the midst of dynamic changes occurring in national health policy and pharmaceutical industry practices. As a member of the practice, this position will interact with Fortune 500 company executives to help them protect and enhance their reputations in the face of business and environmental challenges.

Responsibilities:

- Autonomously run 2-3 client accounts/ large projects that focus on issues management and reputation

- Lead client service for key accounts and ensure the successful execution of strategies and programs

- Develop issues management protocols and risk mitigation plans

- Develop sensitive messaging documents and materials; ensure quality control of deliverables

- Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues across inVentiv Communications for the service of client work

- Strong contributory role to new business development and the practice’s thought leadership activities

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of communications/consulting experience (some agency experience preferred)

- Excellent writing skills with deep experience developing communications for a variety of messaging for a variety of audiences

- Persuasive speaker

- Poise and capability working under tight timelines

- Some healthcare expertise preferred
