Internship position at Landis Communications
Landis Communications Inc. (LCI) in San Francisco is seeking the next rising star of public relations to immerse themselves in our hands-on and fast-paced internship program.

The right candidate will be savvy, driven and enthusiastic. He/she will also be resourceful, innovative, forward thinking and committed to soaking up everything there is to see, do and learn.

The Role:
This person will gain visibility into the inner workings of PR from soup to nuts. This will entail everything from submitting calendar listings to pitching media to supporting the rollout of new client campaigns. LCI believes in growing its team from within and this starts with our intern program. This is truly a rare opportunity to stand out from the pack and gain experience with definitive edge.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Navigate Cision, creating quality media lists 
  • Hone writing skills, elevate press materials (press releases, media advisories, story pitches, etc.) 
  • Brainstorm on pitches, story angles and partnerships 
  • Learn to collaborate & network with team/client and other industry professionals 
  • Assist in myriad administrative duties 
  • Effectively contribute to LCI’s social media accounts and the LCInsights blog 
  • Schedule, coordinate and attend various events, as relevant 
  • Learn time management tips + tricks

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must hold a degree or be currently pursuing a degree in such fields as public relations, communications, journalism, marketing and/or business 
  • Must be able to commit to a weekly schedule of 15-20 hours a week 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines 
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
  • **This student internship is paid and qualifies for college credit
