Ruder Finn, Inc., a leading independent communications agency, is looking for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to begin working in our Corporate Communications team. The Senior Account Executive will be working for a major international healthcare company on a corporate, healthcare-focused account. This program focuses on external and internal communications including media strategy and outreach around product launches and other milestones, stakeholder engagement and education, and executive communications and thought leadership, with a focus on media strategy and speaking engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily interaction with clients and prospects, working collaboratively with team members to achieve client objectives
  • Write, edit and proofread high-quality communications materials including press releases, tweets, blog content, briefing documents, pitch letters, fact sheets and client correspondence
  • Help develop strategic recommendations addressing challenges and opportunities for clients
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking when approaching assignments and providing recommendations
  • Actively participate in team, staff and client meetings and proactively seek and share relevant information when appropriate
  • Establish relationships and maintain regular contact with key stakeholders, colleagues, vendors and clients
  • Provide appropriate instruction to interns and executive trainees on projects and facilitate teamwork
  • Own account activities and work with team to develop agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, client status reports and budget trackers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a PR agency or in an in-house role –experience working on healthcare accounts is necessary
  • Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to speak knowledgeable with high-level executives internally and externally
  • An independent worker who works well on a team and can be proactive and a self-starter
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner
  • Must have experience interacting professionally with high-level executives internally and with clients
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Proactivity and analytical thinking
