Senior Account Executive - WE Communications

WE Communications, one of the world’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for driven professionals to join our highly successful office in London. With an office in office in Covent Garden, we are keen to bolster our ranks with a talented PR/Comms Senior Account Executive to join our multi award-winning Technology Practice.

Our London office is one of 18 across the globe, and it’s expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. Our clients are innovative and so is our work – and importantly, our employees come first. We are currently looking for a first-rate PR/Comms operator to assume responsibility across one of our biggest Tier 1 global clients; providing insightful client counsel, a deep understanding of the technology sector and passion for business writing. 

This role requires give you a platform to showcase your skills on a truly global stage, working closely with colleagues in North America, APAC and across EMEA to deliver business critical campaigns to our instantly recognisable client(s).  You are required to have strong budgetary and financial management experience, whilst mastering the ability to manage both up and down – ensuring you develop, as well as your direct reports.

This a great opportunity for an experienced SAE to help us drive full integration across our client portfolio, allowing you to gain global exposure working on a number of key technology clients.  You will also have a solid understanding of PR and digital, and how a PR agency integrates both into a cohesive working strategy.

Key strengths within this role should include content creation, UK media relations, a passion for tech/digital, international coordination and the ability to think multi-channel/multi-platform at all times.  You will be working with a fantastic Account Director, who will invest time and energy in your own development and career progression.  You will join a very talented committed team, working on a great mix of B2B and B2C clients, often referred to “as one of the top tech shops in the UK”

Main Accountabilities:

  • Integrated (traditional and digital) strategy and campaign development experience
  • Development of regular ‘smaller campaign’ plans as well as overall client strategy
  • Solid media relations skills, whilst already having strong and established relationships with local South Africa and EMEA wide media
  • Story generation – helping to brainstorm ideas to generate coverage for clients
  • Project management skills, with the ability to navigate campaigns that have many moving parts
  • Meeting billability targets established for your position.
  • Ability to work with the digital and creative teams– providing well thought out briefs a variety of projects such as microsites, infographics and visuals

Previous proven experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in communications – in an agency and/or within applicable industry
  • New business development experience
  • Ability to line manage Interns and Account Executives
